WWW.VALORSWIM.ORG On April 13th, 2007, six intercollegiate athletes will swim a rough open water relay from the coast of California to Parsons Landing on Catalina Island and immediately return back to Newport Beach . This estimated twenty hour endeavor spans approximately fifty miles in the frigid Catalina Channel. With only six weeks of crucial training, Team Valor eagerly awaits to accomplish this once in a lifetime venture and also use their God-given talents to make a child's wish come true. Bringing this goal to fruition, Team Valor has partnered with a charity, whose purpose revolves around granting children with life-threatening medical conditions their ultimate dream. The team of six will be comprised of three women and three men: Lindsey Eastman, Huntington Beach, CA; Melanie Lentz, Apple Valley, CA; Angie Rodriguez, Camarillo, CA; Louis Boehle, Ontario, CA; Garrett Miller, Las Cruces, NM; Barrett Wilson, Las Cruces, NM; & male alternate, Bobby Eastman, Huntington Beach, CA.
